All accreditation decisions are made by CITE's Accreditation Commission. The Commission applies CITE's published standards to every institution equally.

Governance and Independence
CITE is governed by a Board of Directors and guided by a Board of Advisors. Commissioners and directors with a conflict of interest step aside from any review involving that institution, and commissioners may not be removed because of how they vote.
